Liani MK is a journalist based in Malaysia. Of mixed indigenous heritage, her work focuses on culture, land, language and migration—with stories that centre women, migrant and indigenous experiences.

Her passion for storytelling is also reflected through her creative pursuits in visual art, comics and film projects. Across these media, she has assumed professional roles as a producer, screenwriter, script editor, translator, designer and researcher. She also engages in media advocacy with the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD).
Her work has appeared on Kontinentalist, Macaranga, Malaysiakini, MediaCorp, New Naratif, The New York Times, NPR, Penang Monthly, Project Multatuli, Rest of World, Southeast Asia Globe, ViddSee, and Yahoo! News.​​​
